Our newest recruit proudly sports our club colours in and out of the pool at a recent swim meet in the US. Many of you have already met Julia Galan in Switzerland at the EU Swimming Invitational last year. As you know, Julia is the Meet Director for the competiton and has done an amazing job in bringing so many diverse teams together from across Europe.
Julia assures us the shamrock brought her luck, drawing some curious glances and loads of questions from her fellow competitors…
The event was the 2011 Colonies Zone Short Course Championships, held at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. It was a Masters competition that attracted about 450 swimmers from throughout the East Coast of the US.
